Greyed out zoom tool. I can’t figure out why the zoom tool is greyed out all of a sudden. I’ve tried all the view option and none of them just give me a simple one-page document displayed large enough for me to read. Something has changed and I can’t figure out why is zoom grayed out in word – none:.

I needed to grzyed my old laptop since it was having problems. My employer sent me an identical system. They both run Windows same version and OS patch levels. They both have Office with identical patch levels. I use Excel all day for my job. Nothing I did would bring it back. I opened a new spreadsheet and the same thing was happening. After an Office reinstall, same results. I contacted our support team and they were not able help solve the issue either. I keep all my files set to Manual calculations since I have very large files with hundreds of thousands formulas.

I am not able to keep it on Automatic. Both machines are the same and I am testing with many of my files with the same results. I’m not sure how to correct the problem. I did some testing today to flip to Automatic and save the file graed that wyy work when I opened it up and flipped it back to Manual.

The Zoom bar greyed out again. I why is zoom grayed out in word – none: don’t understand the differences in these machines and versions of Excel. View why is zoom grayed out in word – none: response. I did open both a new Excel file and one of my existing file graued Safe mode. Both the Status bar and Zoom slide were visible again. I have been troubleshooting this without the montiors connected. So, I decided to start with your Add-in suggestion. I unselected those and the Zoom and Status bar came back. After a save, the Zoom and Status bar was still active. Worx did another test to leave them checked. Opened my spreadsheet and Nnoe: and Status bar was greyed out wby missing. Once I logged into the finance system, the Zoom and Status was active again. Oht all worked with Manual Calculations turned on. I think I need to reach out to our finance team for this tool and Addins for help.
